Why I'm Running
I'm running for Katy ISD School Board because this district has been part of my life for more than 30 years - and I care deeply about the people who make it what it is. Katy is where I've built my family, build my career, and watched our schools shape generations of students. Serving on the school board feels like a natural extension of showing up for a community that's given me so much.
Throughout my career as an educator, I've spent my days in classrooms supporting students and working alongside teachers and staff. I've seen what's working, what's frustrating, and where people feel unheard. Too often, the voices of those closest to students - parents, educators, and support staff - don't feel like they have a seat at the table. I believe our schools are strongest when decisions are grounded in real classroom experience and shaped by listening to the people doing the work every day.
I'm running because I believe school boards should be steady, thoughtful, and focused on students first. I believe in respectful conversations, transparency, and leadership that brings people together rather than dividing them. Most of all, I believe every family deserves to feel confident that their school district is being led by people who understand their daily realities and genuinely care about their children.
This campaign isn't about titles or politics - it's about service. I'm running because Katy is our home, our students matter, and our schools deserve leadership rooted in experience, humility, and community.
